Getting Ready at The Glass Box | Downtown Raleigh, NC
The morning began at The Glass Box in downtown Raleigh, one of the most beautiful getting-ready spaces in the area. With floor-to-ceiling windows and soft, natural winter light flooding the room, it was the perfect setting for capturing all the little details that make a wedding day feel complete.
The bride’s details were stunning — blue Anthropologie shoes, lush florals by Ever Be Floral, and a beautifully calligraphed invitation suite that set the tone for the whole day. The florals from Ever Be Floral were absolutely breathtaking throughout — from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony and reception arrangements, every bloom felt perfectly curated for a cozy winter aesthetic.
One of the most meaningful moments of the morning happened quietly: the bride sat down to read a handwritten letter from her groom before stepping into her dress. It’s the kind of moment that reminds you what a wedding day is really about. Her mother helped with the final buttons as that soft Raleigh winter light wrapped the room in something golden and still.
Hair and makeup for the day was done by the talented team at Wedded Kiss, who kept everything feeling elegant and effortlessly beautiful — the kind of look that photographs as well in candid moments as it does in portraits.
The Ceremony at Stockroom at 230 | Raleigh, NC
The Stockroom at 230 is one of the most iconic wedding venues in Raleigh — and for good reason. Its exposed brick walls, soaring ceilings, and industrial-chic atmosphere create a backdrop that somehow feels both grand and intimate at the same time. It’s one of our favorite venues to photograph in all of downtown Raleigh.
Guests filled the ceremony space as the bride walked down the aisle on her father’s arm — a moment that never gets old to photograph. The ceremony was heartfelt and intentional, guided beautifully by their coordinator from Ever Be Floral, who kept every detail of the day running seamlessly from start to finish.
The couple exchanged vows with honesty and tenderness, and the room erupted in joy as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Moments like that are why we do what we do.
Downtown Raleigh Portraits | The Capitol Grounds
After the ceremony, we took the couple out into the streets of downtown Raleigh for portraits — one of our absolute favorite things to do at a Stockroom at 230 wedding. The North Carolina State Capitol grounds provided a stunning, clean backdrop in the winter light: no leaves to distract, just architectural beauty and that crisp, golden late-afternoon glow that only comes in the cooler months.
We captured a mix of candid and timeless images — the kind that feel like you could frame them or flip through them 30 years from now and feel everything all over again. A downtown Raleigh winter wedding really does offer some of the most beautiful light of any season.
The Reception at Stockroom at 230 | Twinkle Lights & Celebrations
When guests entered the reception, the Stockroom had been fully transformed into a warm, glowing winter wonderland. Twinkle lights filled the room, and the rental pieces from Curated Events elevated every table and detail into something editorial and intentional. The florals from Ever Be Floral carried throughout the space — centerpieces, accent arrangements, and those perfect little details that guests notice and remember.
Dinner was provided by the outstanding team at Empire Eats, who brought incredible food and seamless service to the evening. The couple shared their first dance surrounded by the people they love most, followed by heartfelt toasts, parent dances, and cake cutting.
